Cryotherapy Treatment

The common agent used by Practitioners is liquid nitrogen. Liquid nitrogen is the liquid state of gaseous nitrogen, which accounts for 78% of the air we breathe. It is extremely cold, and it is necessary to store and transport it in special flasks. A wide variety of benign lesions can be treated with Cryotherapy, but it is most commonly used to remove:

  • Actinic keratosis (an area of sun damaged skin, predominantly found on sun exposed parts of the body.)
  • Viral warts / Verruca
  • Seborrheic keratosis
  • Other benign lesions
  • Bowen’s disease
  • Moles
